Sellwood-Moreland

Sellwood-Moreland area brings people form afar to shop for Antiques.  In this area you will find little shops with a variety of goods to the larger Antique malls all merchandise from time past.  This small area is also home to  a few bridal stores, an art store,  and an upscale kids shoe store (Haggis McBaggis) with shoes from Italy, Germany and more, coffee shops, bakeries and a variety of other little shops.   After an afternoon of shopping you can dine at one of the many restraunts in the area.  From Thai, French, Mexican or try one of my favorites Sushi at Soboros where it is always best to arrive early if you don't, just realize socializing with the other patrons is just apart of the fun.  Wait times can be up to an hour.  But the sushi is worth it.  After dinner walk down to the local theater where second run movies are shown, the owners will smile and greet you and the prices for popcorn aren't going to make you cringe.  This neighborhood has the neighbors out walking and talking.  It is a great place to just hang out or to live.
